Tank Refurbishments and Upgrades
Our experienced plumbers approved by WIAPS (WRAS) scheme are qualified to undertake various mains water works for local water suppliers.
Water storage cisterns (commonly those over 20 years old) could possibly present a Legionella risk if they are not properly constructed and do not have secure lids, proper insulation, good front to back circulation or screened lid vents/overflows. To comply with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and BS 8558 we offer the following mechanical engineering services:
- Installation of ‘byelaw 30’ kits like screened lid vents, overflow insect/rodent screens
- Tank lining/ painting
- Tank insulation
- Tank lids
- Modification or replacement of hollow PVC lid supports
- Rerouting of pipework to avoid stagnation
- Hot and cold water system disinfection

This is the second contract that we have entered into with Total Environmental Compliance. The first was for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years – we were happy with the service so entered into the extension.
