Tank Refurbishments and Upgrades
Water storage cisterns (commonly those over 20 years old) could possibly present a Legionella risk if they are not properly constructed and do not have secure lids, proper insulation, good front to back circulation or screened lid vents/overflows. To comply with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and BS 8558 we offer the following mechanical engineering services:
- Installation of ‘byelaw 30’ kits like screened lid vents, overflow insect/rodent screens
Tank lining/ painting
- Tank Insulation
- Tank Lids
- Modification or replacement of hollow PVC lid supports
- Rerouting of pipe work to avoid stagnation
- Hot and Cold Water System Disinfection
We have experienced plumbers approved by WIAPS (WRAS) scheme who are qualified to undertake various mains water works for local water suppliers.
Approx. 2 years ago I was looking for a contractor to complete remediation works on the extensive portfolio of Lancashire county council sites.
I started with looking through the legionella control association approved contractors list for the northwest of England and Total Environmental Compliance Ltd was one of the companies I contacted to arrange a meeting to discuss LCC legionella remedial work requirements.
From this initial meeting to this day a great working relationship has been forged and TE Compliance has now become only 1 of 3 contractors we use for remedial works on our 1000+ properties.
From an engineering point of view the work produced by TE Compliance has always been of a high standard, and the feedback I receive from our clients is always positive, especially the relationship built with our clients whilst working on sites based on excellent communication and site specific requirements.
I would have no hesitation in recommending TE Compliance to any other company/organisation not only for remedial works but also any other legionella related works in which TE Compliance have also been involved with within Lancashire county council properties.
